Carolina Parents Association

Our Mission is…

• To encourage mutual understanding and to facilitate communication between families and the University community
• To create, implement and sponsor programs, publications and services that meet the continuing needs of Carolina families
• To promote and support parent and family involvement by encouraging participation in their student’s Carolina experience
• To promote and support the development requirements of the University and its students through the Carolina Parents Fund.

As the parent of a Carolina student, you are automatically a member of the Parents Association and entitled to its benefits.

• You will receive our Carolina Family newsletter each semester.
• The Parents Handbook is updated yearly.
• Parent Emails, sent out at least once a month, provide tailored information for each class year.


• Our parents@unc.edu email address provides an easy way for you to communicate directly with Parent Programs.


• We sponsor and/or participate in a number of programs including Admitted Students Receptions, Explore Carolina, C-TOPS and TSOP Parent Orientations, Summer Send-Offs, Family Weekend, Baccalaureate, and Commencement.


• Joining the Parents Council and/or contributing to the Parents Fund are other ways that you can directly affect the education of your student and others.
  
  
• Parents Clubs are located in various communities around the country to create a local network of Carolina parents and organize special activities.
