Welcome

Parents Fund

The Parents Fund is an invaluable resource that supports both student life and services for the Carolina Parents Association.  Generous gifts from parents, alumni and friends create the margin of excellence that distinguishes the University’s programs for students and parents.

The Parents Fund is for Our Students ….Opportunities and experiences are made available to students that might no otherwise be possible.  The Parents Fund continues to be a vital support for the Student Opportunity Fund, which provides grants to student organizations through the Carolina Union.  It also channels money into the Student Life Enhancement Fund, which offers grants for students through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.  Students not only benefit from the programs that are supported by the grants, but they also learn about finance and grants while participating in the application process.

The Parents Fund Supports the Carolina Parents Association … Gifts to the Parents Fund make free membership in the Carolina Parents Association possible for all parents.  Services provided to parents by the Office of New Student & Carolina Parent Programs are not funded by the state, thus, many of the programs, publications and services for parents and families are made possible through the Parents Fund,

Being a part of the Carolina Parents Association you do make a difference…being informed and getting involved.  Time will go by quickly and before you realize it; your student will go from being an eager new student on campus to wearing a blue cap and gown on graduation day.  Enjoy this journey with your student to the fullest.

Last year, parents, alumni and friends of the University, generously contributed more then $170,000 which was used to support many programs and initiatives.  Below are a few examples of programs that directly benefited from the Parents Fund.  For a more detailed list, please refer to your Carolina Parents & Family Handbook, under the tab Carolina Parents Association.  We appreciate your continued support and generosity.
