Parents Orientation

Parents are not required to attend an Orientation session when their student comes to CTOPS or Students in Lenoir HallTSOP, but we highly encourage it. Orientation is a great opportunity for you to meet and hear from University administrators, staff, your own Carolina Parent Programs staff, and the parents of other incoming students. The New Student portion of our office plans a full schedule to keep you busy; you won’t be attending the same sessions as your student. Take a look at the schedule. Sign up for Parents Orientation when your student registers for their Orientation.

The Parents Programs offers a presentation about our office, the Carolina Parents Council, and the programs we sponsor on the evening at CTOPS. We also include a time for small group sessions whereParents at Parent Orientation parents can have their questions answered by seasoned Carolina parents and students.

At TSOP and the second day at CTOPS, we have a booth at the Information Fair. Parents are welcome to drop by, pick up information, and ask any more questions. Carolina aims to make the transition to college life as easy as possible for parents and students and attending Orientation is a great way to begin.
