Admitted Students Receptions

Admitted Students Reception During the spring, the General Alumni Association sponsors Admitted Students Receptions in North Carolina and selected regional areas throughout the country. Several campus departments, including the Office of New Student & Carolina Parent Programs, Carolina Dining Services, the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life, and more, travel with the Alumni Association to each of these receptions.

Receptions provide incoming students an opportunity to meet each other and ask questions of the various UNC Chapel Hill departments represented. Receptions usually include a short video presentation, introductions of each department in attendance, a student and faculty speaker, and a time for students and parents to circulate and ask individual questions.
